Day to become Mrs Chua (15th Sept 2010)

Today is the day! Waking up as early as 6am in the morning to get things prepared. Poor dear had been waken up by a call from his colleague asking him back to work, forgetting that it's his ROM day today! Lucky thing it's not his nightmare! As for myself, i'm getting butterfly in my stomach in the morning, having to visit the toilet 3 times.

Then around 9am plus, down came the heavy downpour. Getting worried, because we are making our way to the Bridal Concept Studio. To avoid getting wet, mum and me took feeder bus out to interchange.

However, the bus overshot, we had to walk up to the MRT station, still getting wet! Our initial plan was to visit the temple first before going to the studio. However, due to the heavy rain, we ended up only just in time to had our lunch at Bugis. Cousin was late, so she met me at the studio directly.

We reached the BC studio 10mins earlier before our appointment time at 12pm. Finally, met Lynne, my MUA. Glad to meet her, a pleasant and friendly lady she is really a pro! She gets things done in less than an hour! Very satisfied with her make up, especially the drawing of the eye and hairdo. Lucky had asked cousin along to help photoshoot my before and after hairdo too. We even had the time to take few shoot at the studio. We took a cab to the Ministry National Development board from Bugis, reaching there around 1.40pm.

Time was still early as our solemisation time was fixed at 2.45pm. Waiting patiently for our relatives to gather around. Final around 2.30pm we went in to have our IC scan. Finally came our turn. Its kind of a rushing in the room, because we had not prepare our wedding pillow yet! In the amidst, we quickly had our wedding rings tied onto the pillow.

The whole ceremony ended in less than 15mins. We went for our outdoor photo taking at Esplanade thereafter. Due to the fact that next week will be lanterns festival, there were nice lanterns hanging around esplande, great shots! Though it's quite tiring but it's enjoying.

We went for a sumptuous meal after that at Putien at MSQ. Dishes not too bad juz that the prices bit too steep. But as long as overall service was satisfying, its all worthwhile. A great day indeed. Looking forward to our photo taking session on 21st Nov 2010.

Today is the final fitting for ROM dress. The sleeves still not nicely done, sigh..a bit more to touch up here and there. Lucky got my cousin to join me along for today fitting session and to help choose for my accesories. After testing out the rom dress, came along the evening gown choosing. Lucky thing the test out yesterday was quite a smooth one. Me finally chosen 1 that looks okay in me and wrap up everything ard 8pm plus. We went for dinner thereafter. Our next appt was fixed on 10th Oct 2010. That day will be testing for my MTM gown and more of evening gowns to come.

Looking forward to receiving HLE letter

Today heard that our neighbour frm Punggol Vista will be collecting their house keys on 22nd Sept 2010. News also breaking out that residents frm Blk 603 PL had also received their HLE letter. Think they will be collecting their house keys very soon..probably in 2 weeks time. Soon it will be our turn. Keeping the finger cross, likely to be in end of this year...in Oct or Nov 2010. Earlier than the expected date.

Document Verifiication 9th Sept 2010

Today is the Rom document verification day. Appt time @ 830am Tanjong Pager Level 4 outside Amoy street Food center. We reached there early and took our Q # 4. Serving us was an Indian lady. We were told to sign document and solemise in front of her to certify that we are eligible for the marriage. First experience having to have such practise. Can be quite awarkward initially, having to read out those sentences on the paper..feeling like having oral test in front of a teacher! After checking all details were true and correct on the documents, we were informed to arrive 15mins earlier on the solemisation date 15th sept 2:45pm.

Lucky thing, despite shortage of manpower at work, i'm still able to apply 1/2 day leave in the morning. It was quite a rush, especially at this moment, when i'm still on the road of recovery after abt 2 weeks reported sick, coming down with a package of sore throat, hoarse voice, coughing and fever...still feeling weak though...my 1st time ever visited doctor twice in less than a week later after my 1st visit! Sigh...pray hard my cough and sore throat recover soon, if not our wedding photoshooting might need to postpone again.

Had also called up "PuTien Resturant" - MSQ (Hokkien resturant), to make reservation for 10 course set Meal @ $298 today. Many commented that food there is recommendable. Keeping finger cross that food there will not disappoint all of us...

Temporary relocation of ROM (Venue of our ROM is held)

ROM will be operating at Ministry of National Development (MND) Building Annexe B, 4th Storey, 7 Maxwell Road, Singapore 069111 from 26 January 2010 to February 2011 while the existing building at Canning Rise undergoes renovation.

What the Logo Stands For:

The quintessential elements of marriage - Everlasting Bliss and Love, are represented by the fluidity and continuity of the stroke "M" which is the Registry of Marriages.

Marriage, a derivative of the stroke flow creating the dual mounts, denotes a stable foundation for two individuals.

The colour application of metallic bronze, which is a combination of more than one substance, stands as a measure of trust and commitment.
